Come along and experience the vibrant soul of the Isthmus, through three iconic dances!
We begin with El Punto, the “King of Dances.” An elegant display of courtship showcases Spanish colonial grace, where the couple moves with precision and aristocratic poise. Swiftly moving to the Congo Dance. A raw, rhythmic explosion from the Caribbean coast. The performance will tell the story of resistance and liberty, fuelled by the intense pulse of the drums and Afro-Panamanian spirit. To end, we celebrate the Tamborito, Panama’s national dance. Led by a female soloist’s melodic call and synchronized handclaps, it represents the heart of our identity. Together, these rhythms bridge the gap between our ancestors and the present, keeping the beautiful traditions of Panama alive.
