A Cup of Focals – Guerrilla Gaeilge

A “Cup of Focals” is Áine Gallagher’s Guerrilla Gaeilge endeavour, where she pops up in random spots with her cup full of Irish words and asks strangers if they’d like a focal. The aim is to surprise people into having a quick, fun and friendly chat in Irish. Throughout the festival Áine will roam the streets and through the spontaneous and fun disruption of public spaces, she will give members of the public an opportunity to dust of their Irish as she continues on her mission to give everyone in the country a focal.
