Cecilian Theatre Arts presents Afterglow

Cecilian Theatre Arts explores and expresses the promise of new life, hope and better days to come.

Through prose, song & dance our vision for Afterglow depicts the pain and suffering that people have
endured during this worldwide pandemic, while exploring & transitioning into the promise of new life, hope
and better days to come.

Cecilian Theatre Arts, in Castleknock, is a well established award winning school run by Director Jennifer O’Dowd assisted by her Mum Rosalind. The school trains students in Acting, Dancing & Singing from age 3 - 18yrs which include projects in TV, Film, Stage, Festivals and Charity performances.

Classes are specifically designed to encourage creativity, confidence and communication skills in a safe encouraging environment. They place an emphasis on holistically developing each student in life skills through the arts. 

The Cecilian Theatre Arts have been involved in the Arts for over 30 years as a Musical Society for teens and adults, affiliated to AIMS (Association Of Irish Musical Societies). They have staged many award winning productions in Draiocht Theatre, including Oklahoma, A Little Princess The Musical, Seven Brides For Seven Brothers, Meet Me In St Louis to name a few. 

All the performers come from the participating Community Groups who join us every year to enrich our pageant in the St. Patrick's Festival parade. We welcome you to join us in celebrating the richness and diversity of our wonderful community groups and thank them all for their exceptional commitment and contribution to the festival each year.
