with Eithne Ní Chatháin
Admission to this event does not include full access to the Little Museum of Dublin
A series of fascinating lunchtime talks and workshops will run throughout St. Patrick’s Festival weekend. Expect lively discussions with some of Ireland’s most accomplished writers and academics and an illuminating workshop from one of Ireland’s leading singers.
Come and learn the wonderful art of traditional Irish singing with Eithne Ní Chatháin (aka indie-folk artist, Inni-K). Eithne will host these enjoyable and interactive workshops, where she will breakdown this native art form and illuminate it for participants. Eithne will outline different types of songs and styles, illustrate meanings and pronunciation of words in the sean-nós tradition.
No need to bring anything but an open mind, a willingness to listen, have fun and give it a go! Ní gá Gaeilge líofa a bheith agat. Fluency in the Irish language is not essential.
Eithne Ní Chatháin, is a Kildare based artist, singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. Music has brought her all over the country and all over the world, first as a fiddler and sean-nós singer, and in recent years with her own indie-folk songwriting under the alias Inni-K.
