GOAL Global Stage: Celaviedmai Presents: Who's Next?
GOAL Global Stage at 3.50pm - 4.35pm
Celaviedmai has curated a set for the GOAL Global Stage which will feature a variety of emerging artists. The Galway artist, who has been paving the way for artists coming up during the development of Ireland's new sound, is delighted to give this platform to new talent.
Who's Next? will bring Toshín, Salamay and Becky McNeice to the stage, hosted by Celaviedmai with a special performance of her #1 iTunes song, Spark, produced with GOAL Next Gen to close the event.
Celaviedmai is recognised for her hard-hitting lyricism, incomparable stage presence and impressive performance history, playing at a variety of major venues including Trafalgar Square London and the National Concert Hall, Dublin. Unlike many rappers, Mai performs her vocals live, with live instruments and gives her authentic self to the crowd every single time with unbelievable energy. She has earned her stripes on the festival stages, headlining her own shows and opening for artists such as Lil Wayne, Mac Miller, Tinchy Stryder and Nova Twins.
Born and raised in Galway, her music is celebrated for blending genres within urban contemporary music and she often combines English, French and Irish in her lyrics - paying homage to her Ivorian roots. Celaviedmai is inspired by an array of music from around the world, and artists such as Missy Elliot, J Hus, Azealia Banks, Kaytranada, Doechii and Burna Boy.
