Me Auld Flower is a new Irish food & drink festival by the people behind Big Grill, located in the historic fruit & veg market in the heart of Dublin. In association with St. Patrick’s Festival 2023 programme, it is the first-of-its-kind in the venue.
Me Auld Flower brings the best of Ireland together to recreate the buzz of the old market with a modern take. The event will focus on Irish food & drink culture with a mix of restaurants, chefs, producers, distillers, brewers and makers, all under one roof.
Dublin City Fruit, Vegetable and Flower Market originally opened its doors in 1892. It served the Dublin wholesale market and public for 127 years from its block in Smithfield. It was a vital part of city life until it finally closed its doors in 2019.
Me Auld Flower will be bringing life back into this landmark building with an Irish food and drink festival over four days, highlighting the best of Ireland.

Food
Stroll around the festival and experience a melting pot of Irish food from fresh oysters to charcuterie & cheese, bacon & cabbage dumplings to a Michelin-star bowl of coddle. Or pick up a bag of spuds or a steak for the grill to bring home.

Tickets
There are 3 different ticket options;
A General Admission Ticket includes admission to the festival where you get access to a unique line-up of Irish and international chefs, restaurants and other food and drink providers. It also gives you access to Bastecamp & Brewcamp for demos, talks, tastings and workshops with a host of talent from guest chefs to Ireland’s leading food and drink experts. On top of that there will be music & entertainment (DJs and live acts), eating competitions, a host of bars, cocktails, distilleries and a selection of Irish craft breweries. There will be plenty of incredible Irish vendors offering amazing artisan products and everything from a Michelin-star bowl of coddle to ice creams and all manner of delights in between!
